City Care Partnership is a dynamic and active employer. We are always looking to recruit staff who share our values.
What We Do
At City Care Partnership, we have always developed our services to meet the needs of individuals who would often struggle in mainstream community services.
Art can be enormously beneficial to everyone. It can help develop fine motor skills, problem-solving skills, allow a platform to explore and process the world, deal with emotions, and provides sensory input.
But more importantly, art is important for its own sake as a source of expression, creativity, exploration, supporting individuals to explore their identity and develop self-esteem. It encourages social interaction and communication and offers a sense of release and respite.
City Care runs art sessions every Wednesday and has around 10 regular members. We also facilitate individual art sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These are for people who, for various reasons, prefer not to access the group art sessions on a Wednesday. The one-to-one direct support provides an opportunity where they can engage in the activity in an environment better suited to their needs.
All of these sessions provide a safe and positive environment for individuals to express themselves and develop their self-esteem and confidence. We are constantly looking at developing and improving our art projects to meet the needs of the individuals we support and are currently developing a 6-week project programme which will focus on a specific art medium chosen by the people who attend the sessions.
