Work with us
City Care Partnership is a dynamic and active employer. We are always looking to recruit staff who share our values.
What We Do
At City Care Partnership, we have always developed our services to meet the needs of individuals who would often struggle in mainstream community services.
An introduction to the activities based at our Yew Tree Hub
The people we support enjoy a range of outdoor sports and activities.
We also enjoy performing and have created two major shows.
Walking and Hiking happens twice a week, from gentler 'bimbles' to full hikes.
We raise funds for charities with our performances at Didsbury Festival
Creativity is celebrated
Sports is a big winner
At City Care Partnership, activities aren’t just about keeping busy — they’re about discovering interests, building confidence, and connecting with the world in meaningful ways.
We’ve long been recognised for the range and quality of activity opportunities we offer. Based in the heart of the North West, we’re perfectly placed to access everything from the cultural vibrancy of Central Manchester to the natural beauty of the Peak District.
We’re proud to have developed our own dedicated activity hub at Yew Tree, in South Manchester. This unique, on-site facility provides a welcoming environment where people can explore interests at their own pace and on their own terms, with one-to-one support.
Our Yew Tree facilities include:
A working stables and equestrian centre
Kennels and animal care areas
A horticulture centre and gardens
Work party workshops for practical skills
An arts & crafts centre
A fully equipped music recording studio
This safe, supportive setting acts as a springboard — enabling people to build confidence, learn new skills, and gradually transition into group activities or wider community opportunities with self-belief and enthusiasm.
Taking part in regular activities, including sport, creative arts, and therapeutic programmes, contributes to wellbeing in many ways. We see significant improvements in:
Balance and coordination
Fine and gross motor skills
Focus, attention, and task engagement
Auditory, visual, and tactile processing
Self-confidence and self-regulation
Overall physical fitness and emotional wellbeing
Whether it’s caring for animals, painting in the studio, trying a new sport, or exploring the outdoors, every activity is tailored to support personal growth, autonomy, and joy.
Arts & Crafts are a popular activity at our Yew Tree Hub
Horse Riding happens 3 times a week. We have 3 horses of our own at our stables.
